Nigel and Jean are passionate about food and ensure that every dish is prepared to order using only the best quality locally sourced ingredients. Prime cuts of meat are selected and a wide variety of fresh local vegetables are available according to season.

Nigel has been an avid collector of recipe books for over 30 years and currently has over 500 to draw on for inspiration!

Nigel and Jean specialise in providing home-cooked food that will exceed your expectations of a traditional ‘meal out’. As well as a la carte and ‘light bite’ menus there is always a ‘specials’ board from which to choose something perhaps a little more unusual.

Choose from a selection of around 20 wines, including champagne, from around the world to accompany your meal – all at very reasonable prices.

The reputation of the quality and value offered by the Sunday lunches at the Waggon and Horses is growing fast.
